River City Promotions is co owned by Eric Ash and Liz Cane, two Richmond natives looking to take boxing to the next level.

Eric Ash and Liz Cane are the co owners of River City Promotions as well as Vintage Boxing Gym and The Recovery Room, both located in Scott’s Addition. Their goal is simple: make Richmond a boxing city.

Ash graduated from VMI and got his professional boxing license, but grew frustrated with how few avenues there were available for him to further his boxing career. Taking inspiration from his college coaches, he aimed to change that for the better. Because of River City Promotions, Richmond saw its first WBC fight in well over two decades. Ash also co-owns Ashenelli Boxing, a professional boxing management company, with Donato De Martiis. Through Ashenelli, Ash has been able to connect and collaborate with champions from all over the world to bring Richmond’s boxing scene a diverse, fresh jumpstart. While Ash collaborates with the fighters, Cane is there to put all the pieces together to make the fights happen. Together, they have taken the River City by storm, but this is just the beginning.
